An Appeal to Authority

As I read the Scriptures...as I hear the Word of God preached, time and time again nothing brings more comfort to my heart and shakes me to my very soul than that of His sovereignty. Feed me messages of His love...His power...His mercy and grace, but deny me not characterizations, examples, or illustrations to His everlasting authority, without which would He be able to be completely faithful to His Word...without which would He be worthy of worship?

Three Relationships

Can you define Christianity without simply citing Bible verses to me? It's not just about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ - to say so sounds selfish. A relationship with Him is the heart of the spiritual body encompassing the whole belief. The body can no more live when separated from the heart than the heart from the body. To live, in loving Christ you must love others too, and in loving others you must also love Christ. With these you have established primary and secondary relationships, yet there is still a third.

Sacredness - rooted in the very nature and character of God as expressed in His Word, His Law, and the created order so that to violate this is to stand in direct opposition of Him, to reject blessing, to ransom yourself to the flesh and/or the world, to treat the great gift of salvation as nothing more than a rechargeable feeling, renewable high, or replaceable trinket.
